Living on a teacher’s salary, we want to get the most value for our money with all of our purchases. Buying affordable sneakers and athletic shoes that are durable and will last a long time under normal wear is one of the best ways to save money.

Once I started shopping around for quality athletic shoes at a reasonable price point, one brand kept coming up again and again: Avia.

After seeing the shoes in person at my local Walmart Supercenter I couldn’t find anything wrong with them–thick soles, a reinforced toe, seemingly good quality construction. What’s not to like? This was exactly the type of shoe that I had been searching for!

I bought the Avia Elevate style pictured below in the tie dye and navy color combinations from Walmart, and I wear them twice a day, every day, as my dog and I walk around our neighborhood.

You can buy them in-person at a local Supercenter or order Avias online from Walmart.com.

Buying quality products at a reasonable price saves us money in the long run

As consumers, we encounter planned obsolescence all the time, and it can be so frustrating when it hits expensive, everyday products that we need to last for as long as possible.
